..o.o Thanksgiving...has come toooo fast this year!!

XD the year's almost over it makes me sad to think.

Well that's what many people have been saying and going about, but yes of course, finally when we look at the rooster of Presidents we won't be seeing a line of white men. Now we finally have a black president.

I say that's just awesome and it shows how far the US has come from the times of slavery, to segregation, and now random hate crimes, and racial problems still ongoing. It's just very prideful in a way for us to be living through this. I say McCain did a good job on his campaigning, but he had two set backs George Bush, and Palin. But McCain did well, and it was a close vote. (popular not electoral~)Obama i say did a good job on not picking Clinton as the VP because when he won they would give the credit to her on winning it for him..

Well anyways, Obama is the new president that is just a big day for the nation, and i feel proud of being an American.

Now for more local things, I've lost all dignity and pride of being a Californian. I can't believe how close minded people still are.
I'm amazed at how the props went, but the one that irked me the most was prop 8.
As of today i lost civil liberties.. and have been degraded apparently. It was really unfair how it was passed, but hey people voted that way, what more can be done than act against it.

So now the prop is being taken to the supreme court, which i hope it is viewed unconstitutional. Because really it is unconstitutional. Anyways, as the previous voting that allowed the marriage to be recognized went 4 to 3, so there's a high chance.

Either way it's basically stating that gay people do not have the same rights as everyone else, and just well... I really did think that the US had said the government should be a separation of church and state. This whole deal on marriage should not be enforced by the government, and it can be viewed however individually but not degraded by the supreme power.
As for those couples who were married, if this does go to the supreme court, bring up the ex post facto laws. And then the state should continuing viewing those couples as wed, and they cannot deny their rights.

So anyways today the American nation took a major step forwards, but another one back.
